Japarov made the proposal on October 8 at the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia with the participation of Azerbaijan, held in the Avaza Tourist Zone in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan.
He said the countries have different but complementary tourism potential, ranging from historic cities and mountain areas to numerous cultural heritage sites.
Kyrgyzstan is proposing a “one trip – several countries” model and the development of joint tourist routes, Japarov said.
He also called on the countries’ foreign ministries to prepare specific proposals for introducing a common visa.
