The committee has asked aggregators to review their pricing algorithms, fix problems with transferring earnings to drivers, unblock drivers who were suspended without justification and pay outstanding bonuses for completed rides.

According to the committee’s press service, the review covers the services and pricing offered by taxi aggregators to both passengers and drivers. The investigation follows technical disruptions at a major taxi platform, which led to a sharp increase in demand for competing services and public complaints about higher fares.

The committee said it would examine whether the price increases were justified and whether the companies had complied with competition law. It has urged aggregators to adjust their pricing algorithms to prevent sudden and artificial fare hikes.

The companies have also been instructed to resolve problems with transferring drivers’ earnings, restore access for drivers who were blocked without proper grounds, and recalculate and pay all bonuses due for completed rides.

The committee stressed that aggregators must avoid unfair competition and ensure that round-the-clock technical support services for both drivers and passengers operate without interruption.

If the review identifies violations of competition law or infringements of consumer rights, the committee said it would launch formal proceedings and take appropriate action.
