The president made the remarks during a meeting on labor migration priorities at the Intil International Language and Vocational Training Center in Tashkent’s Uchtepa district.

Mirziyoyev spoke about the contribution of Uzbek citizens working abroad, describing them as people who work tirelessly to provide for their families and secure their children’s future.

“Every compatriot working abroad is a truly courageous person, working tirelessly to provide for their family and secure their children’s future. They are our citizens, our children. Wherever they work, protecting their rights is the state’s permanent duty and responsibility,” he said.

The president stressed that no Uzbek working abroad should be left to face problems without support.

Under a new system, citizens encountering difficulties abroad will no longer have to seek out an ambassador or consul in person. Instead, they will be able to submit requests for assistance through the Online Mahalla platform.

If necessary, the ambassador will personally visit the citizen to protect their rights and help resolve the problem.

Mirziyoyev instructed officials to submit proposals within 10 days to launch the system and ensure its effective operation.

The presidential press service said the initiative reflected a broader shift in how labor migrants are viewed: not merely as people sending money home, but as citizens entitled to state protection and recognition of their dignity.
