“About 8,100 citizens have been admitted to a special hospital in the Yukorichirchik district” – Tashkent region’s khokim
In the Yukorichirchik district, Tashkent region, 8,096 citizens were placed in the quarantine zone, which is designed for 20,800 people. Khokim of the Tashkent region Rustam Kholmatov reported about this in an interview with Kun.uz.
“So far, 11,599 citizens have been quarantined throughout the region. To date, those who have completed the quarantine period have been discharged, and currently, 894 of them are placed in medical institutions, 7,137 – in special institutions, 3,332 – under control at home. 3,332 citizens quarantined at home are representatives of 795 families. Internal affairs bodies, employees of the National Guard strictly monitor compliance with quarantine requirements for those who are in quarantine at home.
Those who had direct contact with the infected are monitored under inpatient conditions at the regional infectious diseases hospital in the city of Chirchik, the infectious hospitals in Tashkent, Zangiata, Akkurgan, Urtachirchik, Kibray districts, the regional branch of the Republican Center for Emergency Medical Care, the regional oncology dispensary, and the maternity ward of the Kuyichirchik district, private clinic “Dilchehra”, located in the city of Chirchik. In addition, 8,096 citizens are accommodated in the quarantine zone, which is designed for 20,800 people in the Yukorichirchik district – citizens, who were brought in from foreign countries by charter flights, who entered Uzbekistan through the “Gishtkuprik” border post (640 people), as well as those who are living in the Tashkent region. They were all quarantined for 14 days,” Kun.uz correspondent quotes Rustam Kholmatov as saying.
Kholmatov added that in the Tashkent region, a reserve of medicines and antibiotics worth 1.3 billion soums for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus infection has been created.
As part of the prevention of the spread of coronavirus and the implementation of quarantine measures, 4 billion soums were allocated from the local budgets of the Tashkent region, districts and cities, as well as from additional sources. Of which 2.5 billion soums were allocated to the district and city departments of the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing, another 1.5 billion soums – to district and city medical associations. At the expense of these funds, medical equipment, special clothing, disposable personal hygiene products are purchased in the districts, disinfection works are carried out.
