Uzbekistan improves its position in world fixed broadband Internet ranking
According to the Speedtest Global Index for April 2020, Uzbekistan has climbed one more line in the world fixed broadband Internet speed rating.

Now the country ranks 94 in the overall ranking. At the end of last year, Uzbekistan showed an increase of 37 positions – from the 131st place to the 94th.
Over the past year, the speed of fixed broadband Internet in Uzbekistan has increased by almost 2.3 times: from 11.62 Mbps in March 2019, to 25.88 Mbps (Download) in April 2020, the MITC said.
According to the results of April 2020, the republic is ahead of such countries as Turkey (97th place), Georgia (95th place), Azerbaijan (114th), Tajikistan (99th) and Turkmenistan (174th) in terms of the fixed broadband Internet speed.
