Leadership changes in a number of government agencies

Deputy senior officials of a number of ministries and state committees of Uzbekistan have been dismissed. Kozim Tulaganov, Kamola Akilova and Akmal Mirzayev resigned as Deputy Ministers.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree appointing and dismissing deputy heads of some ministries and departments.

• Kamola Akilova has been relieved of her post as Deputy Minister of Culture – Head of the Cultural Heritage Department;
• Kozim Tulyaganov has been relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Construction – Head of the Construction Inspection;
• Akmal Mirzayev has been relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Transport;
• Bakhodir Yusupaliyev has been appointed Head of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health Service. In this regard, he has been relieved of the post of Deputy Minister of Health – Head of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health Service.

Also, a number of changes occurred in state committees:

• Shamsiddin Alimov has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources and relieved of his post as First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources;
• Nuritdin Muratov and Nodir Mukhitdinov have been relieved of their posts as Deputy Chairmen of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources;
• Dilshod Kholmurodov has been relieved of his post as First Deputy Chairman of the State Statistics Committee;
• Makhmudjon Ziyadullayev has been relieved of his post as Deputy Chairman of the State Statistics Committee;
• Olim Khakimov was relieved of his post as First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Forestry;
• Abdushukur Hamzaev has been relieved of his post as Deputy Chairman of the State Forestry Committee – Director of the Forestry Research Institute;
• Bakhtiyor Atamuradov has been appointed Director of the “Uzbekchorvanasl” Agency and relieved of his post as Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Veterinary and Livestock Development – Director of the “Uzbekchorvanasl” Agency;
• Fazliddin Umarov has been appointed Director of the Cadaster Agency under the State Tax Committee (STC), and in this regard, he has been relieved of his post as First Deputy Chairman of the STC – Director of the Cadaster Agency under the STC.

These changes have been carried out in accordance with the presidential decree of April 3, 2021 “On optimizing the structure of public administration and reducing the number of state staff”.
