French Development Agency allocating more than €1 billion for joint projects in Uzbekistan
By 2025, the parties agreed to implement in Uzbekistan specific projects in the fields of energy, green economy, urban development and water supply.

Yesterday, on November 21, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Director General of the French Development Agency Rémy Rioux in Paris as part of his official visit to France.
The sides discussed issues of further expanding cooperation, enriching agreements with new promising projects.
It was noted that with the participation of the agency in Uzbekistan, projects for the development of infrastructure, economic sectors and the social sphere for €1 billion are being implemented. The adoption of a new strategic partnership program will double the size of the portfolio.
Within its framework, it is planned to allocate more than €1 billion to joint projects in the fields of agriculture, energy, green economy, urban development, water supply, banking and transport.
One of the priority areas will be the expansion of public-private partnerships in education, healthcare and the infrastructure environment. The parties noted the importance of mixed financing, including the attraction of direct investments from French companies.
