Former FM Vladimir Norov transferred to a new job
Former Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov has received a new position.

By presidential decree dated December 30, 2022, Vladimir Norov was appointed director of the International Institute of Central Asia (IICA).
According to the institute, Norov has now taken up his duties.
The International Institute of Central Asia, established on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan in 2020, is the only state research institution in the region engaged in interdisciplinary research on civilizational diversity and modern processes of sustainable development in Central Asia.
The institute is designed to promote the establishment and strengthening of close research and expert cooperation in the common interests of the CA countries.
IICA aims to establish broad ties with the leading "think tanks" of the countries of Central Asia and other states, as well as experts from international organizations dealing with Central Asian issues. The institute employs specialists with experience in analytical work in areas relevant to the Central Asian region: economics, energy, ecology, cultural and humanitarian research.
