President of Tajikistan arrives in Samarkand: highlights 

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who is in Uzbekistan on a state visit, arrived in Samarkand, reports state agency UzA. 

Government representatives met the distinguished guest at Samarkand international airport.

According to the Press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Emomali Rahmon, accompanied by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the memorial complex of Islam Karimov in Samarkand.

Flowers were laid at the grave of the First President of Uzbekistan. Surahs from the Quran were read. Hundreds of our compatriots and foreign guests visit this complex daily. There are many Tajiks among them.

On this day, presidents visited the Museum complex named after Mirzo Ulugbek. Emomali Rahmon gave a high assessment to the Observatory. He noted that in the Middle Ages, our great ancestors, ahead of their time, made breakthrough scientific discoveries, which still delight people.
