Asian Games. Three wrestlers from Uzbekistan qualified for the quarterfinals, one is eliminated in the “round of sixteen”
Uzbek national wrestling matches are under way in the Asian Games in Indonesia.
Three out of four representatives of the Wrestling Team of Uzbekistan reached the quarter-finals after today’s matches.
In the weight class up to 63 kilograms, representative of Uzbekistan Mukhlisa Abdumalikova won the match against Nguyen Ti Tan Tram from Vietnam in the round of sixteen and qualified for the quarter-finals. Now she will be facing Li Van Ting from Taipei and trying her luck for the semi-finals.
Dildor Shermetova of the same category defeated Nafisa Ahmadi of the Afghan Wrestling Team (10: 0), and snatched the chance confidently. Shermetova's next opponent will be Xuang Shinnan from Taipei.
Sarvar Shomurodov of the weight class up to 81 kg is also in the quarterfinals. He triumphed over Sultan Jonibek of Kazakhstan and now will be competing with Tajikistan's Akmal Murodov in the next stage.
Musa Sabirov, who contended for the right to compete in the quarter-finals, lost to his opponent Khojazoda Bekhruz from Tajikistan and finished his participation in the tournament.
