Cash prizes for winners of Asian Games announced

In the fall of 2022, the Asian and Paralympic Games will be held in Hangzhou, China. The champion athletes from Uzbekistan will receive $5,000 and 81 million soums, while the silver and bronze medalists will receive $3,000 and 54 million soums, and $2,000 and 27 million soums, respectively. The amount of monetary rewards to be given to coaches, doctors, masseurs, dieticians and others has also been approved.
This is stipulated in the resolution signed by the President on 5 May on the complex preparation of Uzbek athletes for the competition.
According to the document, winners of the XIX Asian and IV Paralympic Games, their coaches will be rewarded for each medal as follows:
• for gold medal winners – $5,000;
• for silver medal winners – $3,000;
• for bronze medal winners – $2,000.
Coaches who prepared the winners:
• for gold medal – $2,500;
• for silver medal – $1,500;
• for bronze medal – $1,000.
Other specialists (doctor, dietitian, masseur, etc.):
• for gold medal – $2,000;
• for silver medal – $1,000;
• for bronze medal – one-time cash prizes of $500.
In addition, winners, their coaches will be additionally awarded with one-time cash prizes from the local budget in the following amounts:
• for gold medal winners – 300 BCAs (81 million soums);
• for silver medal winners – 200 BCAs (54 million soums);
• for bronze medal winners – 100 BCAs (27 million soums).
Coaches who prepared the winners:
• for gold medal – 200 BCAs (54 million soums);
• for silver medal – 100 BCAs (27 million soums);
• for bronze medal – 50 BCAs (13.5 million soums).
