Amount of remunerations for the medal winners at the 18th Asian Games announced

The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan will award $ 10,000 for athletes who won gold at the Asian Games, the President of the National Olympic Committee Umid Ahmadjanov reports to Kun.uz.

Furthermore, all the medalists of the above-mentioned tournament will receive certain amount of cash prizes from the government budget too. In accordance with pre-determined order, gold winners will be awarded $ 5,000, while silver and bronze medalists get $ 3,000 and $ 2,000 respectively.

In this regard, champions of the Asian Games 2018 will earn $ 15,000 altogether.

The Uzbek athletes, who defended the honor of our country in 30 kinds of sports in the Asian Games, won 70 medals in total (21 gold, 24 silver and 25 bronze), making Uzbekistan the fifth most medal-winning nation among 45 delegations.

It is worth noting that the amount of money allocated by the government of Uzbekistan for rewarding the tournament winners is $ 227,000 and the amount allotted by the National Olympic Committee is $ 210,000.

Awarding ceremony of the athletes are to be held soon.
