Elderly woman hit, killed by train in Tashkent
Electric train hit an elderly woman in Tashkent, who was crossing the railway track in headphones.
"On September 13, at around 08:00 in the morning, electric train No. 6429, moving in the direction of Tashkent-Hodzhikent, hit a woman born in 1966, between Salar and Yalangach stations along Boghishamol Street, Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent. She was crossing the railway track with ear-phones,” the Prosecutor General's Office noted.
As a result of the incident, the woman died on the spot.
The Tashkent transport prosecutor's office is conducting preliminary investigations.
