Shavkat Mirziyoyev met by Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Tajikistan on September 27 at the invitation of President Emomali Rahmon.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev was welcomed by Emomali Rahmon at the Dushanbe International Airport.

A number of bilateral events are scheduled for today in Dushanbe and Tursunzoda.

The presidents are expected to participate in the opening ceremony of monuments built in honor of Alisher Navoi and Abdurahman Jomi in the capital city of Tajikistan.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon will visit Tursunzoda to be acquainted with the works carried out at the aluminum factory and see local vineyards.

The President of Uzbekistan will take part in the regular meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State on September 28.
