Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed regional issues with Nursultan Nazarbayev
Today, Oct. 11, a telephone conversation took place between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Uzbek presidential press service reports.
During the conversation, the heads of states discussed the current state and prospects of multi-faceted bilateral cooperation in the context of previously reached agreements at the highest level.
The presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan noted with satisfaction the steady growth in the volume of mutual trade and the expansion of its nomenclature.
Mutual interest was confirmed in the development of business cooperation on specific projects of cooperation in industry, energy, transport and communications, agriculture and other fields.
The importance of continuing active cooperation in the field of cultural and humanitarian exchanges, education, health and tourism was noted.
The parties stated a commonality of approaches to the most important problems, including ensuring regional security and effective counteraction against contemporary challenges and threats.
The presidents reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.
