Should retirees be paid depending on their age?

On the collective reference portal “My opinion”, a petition on determining the amount of pensions depending on the age of retirees has appeared.

It is noted that as people get older their health gradually deteriorates, causing several new illnesses to occur. Thus, they will need different types of treatment. Taking this obvious fact into account, the amount of pension payments should be set differently for people of different ages.

“My suggestion is to change the amount of payments depending on the age of the retiree. For example, 75-year-old man’s needs are different than that of 55-year-old man’s. I think, amendments need to be introduced to the law,” the author wrote.
