Tashkent hosts the first meeting of the US Business Week

Within the framework of the US Business week in Tashkent, a meeting of working groups on customs, standards, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, as well as on protection of intellectual property was held in the Uzbek capital with the participation of experts from Central Asia, the United States, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Foreign Trade Ministry said.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on further expanding relations in mutual trade and considered possible ways of ensuring openness of the market.

Uzbekistan is hosting the US Business Week from Oct. 15 to 19, during which the Eighth Annual Central Asia Trade Forum will be held.

The event is organized by the U.S. Agency for international Development (USAID) in cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign Trade of the Government of Uzbekistan.
