Kazakh automobile industry eyes to enter Uzbek market
Growth of state support for car exports will allow the Kazakh automotive industry to be known in foreign markets in the coming years, “Kursiv” reports with reference to Oleg Alfyorov, Chairman of the board of directors at “KazAvtoProm”.
“Protecting the interests of the automakers by local authorities in foreign markets is the key to success,” he said at a press conference on October 23.
According to him, Uzbekistan also employs the same policy to ensure the success of its car exports.
Mr. Alfyorov confidently stated that the Uzbek government is taking significant measures to support the export of automobiles to Kazakhstan and other markets.
He also noted that Kazakhstan's “Asia Auto” company delivered 1,500 Lada 4×4 cars to China.
“These cars were in high demand, but the continuation of the export can be successful only if there are large export subsidies. Within the framework of the Industrial Innovative Development Program for 2020-2024, the issue of supporting Kazakh auto exports to the foreign markets, including the Uzbek market, is being discussed. We hope that these facilities will help to realize the potential export of the domestic automotive industry into foreign markets,” he said.
