Issuing a "secondary" power of attorney for cars is permitted in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, it is allowed to issue a power of attorney for a car with the right of transferring the trust, Kun.uz correspondent reports.

The ban in force since 2001 has been removed from the decree No. 354 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On regulating the acquisition, use and alienation of motor vehicles” signed on August 28, 2018, Norma.uz writes.

Now citizens, who own cars under power of attorney, can issue the same power of attorney for a car to another person. The rights of delegated authority may be less, but not more than the owners and the right of transferring the trust must be separately specified in the main ("primary") power of attorney. "Secondary" power of attorney is also subject to notarization.

The one who issued the main power of attorney must be informed about the full name and place of residence of the “secondary” power of attorney owner. The notice must be conducted in such a way that the fact of the notice can be documented. If this is not done, the previous power of attorney will be responsible for all the actions of the next one. In the case of revocation, expiration or termination of the main power of attorney for different reasons, the force and transfer of the “secondary” authority will be lost.

In addition, power of attorney for cars, now, can be issued to non-residents. It has also been banned for 17 years.
