Uzbekistan announces discounts for local tourists

The Uzbekistan Government has announced the program “Travel around Uzbekistan!” which provides discounts for domestic tourists, Kun.uz correspondent reported with reference to the statement provided by the Uzbek Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.

The purpose of the program is to organize a good holiday for the local citizens and ensure the engagement of tourism facilities in low tourism season, including notification about the list of participants in the tourism industry, i.e. hotels, transport organizations and catering facilities. So they can offer discounts on their services.

Installation of advertising banners under the program “Travel around Uzbekistan!” has begun in all regions of the republic, in central streets and densely populated places. By today, the number of installed banners is over 250 and this number will be increased up to 320.

Special attention is paid to highlighting the tourist potential of the regions.  
Currently, 123 hotels, 54 transport organizations and 90 public catering facilities (restaurants, canteens, etc.) provide discounts for internal tourists throughout the country.
