Uzbekistan to create an analogue of the Russian “Golden Ring”
Uzbekistan plans to create an equivalent of the Russian “Golden Ring” in Fergana valley in order to develop tourism in the country.
In accordance with the report of “RIA Novosti”, the project was proposed by the State Committee for Tourism Development and included in the concept of tourism development for 2019-2025.
“Elaboration of a concept for the development of the tourism potential of Fergana valley on the principle of the Golden Ring,” the document reads.
It is clarified that the project of tourism development of Fergana valley will be prepared by December 2019. At the same time, it is planned to attract specialists and financial resources from abroad, including Russia.
Besides, it is anticipated that Fergana Valley will be connected with Tashkent by a network of transport routes. The project envisages building camping facilities, motels, as well as other amenities of road and natural infrastructure. In addition, tourism facilities in Uzbekistan will be reconstructed.
It should be noted that in the olden days, the Great Silk Road passed through the territory of Fergana valley. Moreover, various Islamic and Buddhist monuments are located in this area.
