Ministry of Transport to be established in Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Transport may be instituted in Uzbekistan. This is stated in the decree signed by the President.

It is stated that the President ordered to prepare proposals for the establishment of the Ministry of Transport, by January 15, 2019, that will be responsible for regulating the transport business and deal with all issues of the sector.

It should be recalled that on August 28, President Shavkat Mirziyayev held a meeting in Tashkent. At that time, head of the state stressed that it is necessary to establish a unique state organization to maintain the policy related to the operation of automobile, railway and airways, subway and river transport, for “Uzavtotrans” agency has not yet set up a system of state policy on the comprehensive review of the transport industry.
