Passenger car production in Uzbekistan increases by 41%

The volume of automobile production in Uzbekistan continues to grow, the State Statistics Committee reported.

In particular, in January-November 2018, 174,570 units of passenger cars were produced, up from 123,701 in the same period last year. Thus, the growth rate was 41%.

Production of trucks grew by 7.2% (3 785 units) and tractor manufacturing has increased four-fold - from 760 to 2,976 units.

However, bus production in the republic has declined. In the period from January to November, 733 buses have been produced (down from 915 units in 2017).
