Higher education continues to be the primary economic driver within the sector. Services provided by higher education institutions claimed the largest share of the market, accounting for 43.3% of the total volume

A regional breakdown of the data shows a significant concentration of these services in the capital city, while the remaining volume was distributed across the provinces and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

Regional volume of educational services for January-April 2026:

  • Tashkent city – UZS 7.5 trillion

  • Samarkand region – UZS 993.6 billion

  • Fergana region – UZS 834 billion

  • Andijan region – UZS 730.7 billion

  • Tashkent region – UZS 717.8 billion

  • Bukhara region – UZS 639.9 billion

  • Namangan region – UZS 638.8 billion

  • Kashkadarya region – UZS 552 billion

  • Khorezm region – UZS 454.2 billion

  • Surkhandarya region – UZS 448.2 billion

  • Republic of Karakalpakstan – UZS 413.1 billion

  • Jizzakh region – UZS 215.1 billion

  • Navoi region – UZS 179.8 billion

  • Syrdarya region – UZS 159.1 billion

The figures show a stark geographical imbalance, with Tashkent city alone generating more educational service volume than all other regions of the country combined.
