During the draw for the Asian Championship tournament, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates in January-February 2019, a trophy of the upcoming competitions was presented, telegram channel of the Uzbekistan Football Association reports.
It is a silver cup with the dimensions of 78 centimeters in height, 15 kg in weight and 42 cm in width.
“The trophy is modeled over a lotus flower, an aquatic plant that is symbolically important for Asia and five lotus petals symbolizing five sub-confederations under the auspices of the AFC,” the report states.
Earlier, texts of slogans of the national teams, which will be written on buses at the Asian Cup, have been made public. The Uzbek national team’s slogan is: “Here we are. Uzbekistan.”
Uzbekistan will participate in the Asian Cup in Group F, along with the national teams of Japan, Oman and Turkmenistan.
