President ratifies the strategic partnership agreement with Tajikistan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On ratification of the strategic partnership agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan”.
The agreement was inked by the presidents of the two countries in Tashkent on August 17 during Emomali Rakhmon’s visit to Uzbekistan. The Tajik side ratified the document in November. The lower house of the Senate of Uzbekistan adopted and approved the law last week.
As follows from the treaty, the parties establish and comprehensively develop long-term and stable strategic partnership based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit, peaceful coexistence and mutual trust.
