President of Uzbekistan gained recognition as a reformer in Turkey   

A financial-economic magazine “Turcomoney” (Turkey) noted that the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is recognized as a “Foreign statesman of the year” in the annual rating. This was announced in Istanbul at a solemn ceremony with the participation of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Binali Yildirim, mayor of Istanbul Mevlüt Uysal, representatives of the government, parliament, public and business circles of this country. 
 
During the event, it was noted that the head of our state was commended for his outstanding achievements and important practical contributions to significantly strengthening the political and economic relations of Uzbekistan with Turkey and Central Asian countries, as well as for the significant revitalization of cooperation in and around the Central Asian region. 
 
According to the information of the Uzbek Embassy in Turkey, this rating is held in two main (“Foreign statesman of the year” and “Outstanding statesman of Turkey”) and six industrial nominations. The decisions of the collegial commission and the jury are made on the basis of monitoring and studying the activities of prominent politicians and businessmen in Turkey, as well as abroad. The jury consists of experts from the magazine “Turсomoney”, members of the Turkish government and parliament as well as regional representatives of the country. 
  
Binali Yildirim, former PM and current speaker of the Turkish Parliament, has become the winner of the “Outstanding Turkish statesman” award, the second main nomination.
 
While speaking at the ceremony, he praised the deep reforms in all spheres carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The dynamics and effectiveness of the reform activities of the head of our republic, his determination and vigor in carrying out a strategic course for the accelerated development of the state, formation of favorable internal and external conditions for the prosperity of the country and people were emphasized. 
 
A short footage was presented to the participants of the event, introducing the political activities of the Uzbek President in the international arena and his meetings with leaders of foreign states. 
 
On behalf of the attendees of the event, Mr. Yildirim extended warm congratulations to the President of Uzbekistan on the recognition of his significant merits to Uzbekistan, Central Asia, Turkey and the international community.
