Free Wi-Fi zone created in New Year Tree zone in Tashkent
The New Year Tree, which is installed at the Alisher Navoi Library on Istiklol Street, is “decorated” with free and high-speed Wi-Fi, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
The project was implemented with the support of Tashkent city khokimiyat, the State Committee for the Development of Tourism and the company TasNet.
In the “holiday zone”, a free Wi-Fi is open at speeds up to 20 Mbps with an unlimited amount of traffic. It uses technologies based on advanced communication equipment of Ubiquity Networks, which allows you to evenly distribute access speed among network users.
Authorization in the TasNet network takes place on the basis of sending an SMS, which corresponds to the new data network services provision policy, entered into force in Uzbekistan on October 1, 2018. For authorization, one must select the network Tasnet.uz Free in the window that opens, enter the phone number, then a one-time SMS password.
In addition, free Wi-Fi is equipped with a festive playground in Central Park (formerly known as Telman Park).
It should be recalled that the President of Uzbekistan during his address to the parliament called for the opening of as many free Wi-Fi zones and youth facilities in the country as possible.
The creation of such zones will allow tourists who come to our republic not only to enjoy the New Year's atmosphere, but also to instantly share the beauty of the pre-holiday Tashkent.
