Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to Vladimir Putin
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed deep condolences to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in connection with the tragic consequences of the collapse of the high-rise residential building in Magnitogorsk city, the presidential press service reported.
On the morning of December 31, as a result of gas explosion at Magnitogorsk, entry of a ten-storey building collapsed. According to the report of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, at least eight people were killed and 33 went missing after the blast.
Earlier, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg (Russia) reported that there were no Uzbek citizens among the deceased at the tragedy site as of January 1, 2019.
In accordance with the MFA report, the Consulate General has taken control of the situation at the tragedy site.
