Uzbekistan to spend $3 million to train 4000 specialists abroad in 2019-2021
In 2019-2021, Uzbekistan will spend $3 million to train 4000 specialists abroad, Kun.uz correspondent reports referring to a presidential decree.
Competitive selection of candidates for training, advanced training and internships of personnel abroad will be carried out at the expense of the Foundation on the basis of targeted orders of ministries and departments in the following areas:
- education;
- science and scientific researches;
- healthcare;
- public administration;
- promising sectors of the economy.
The selection process of specialists to be send abroad is simple.
Until August 1, ministries and departments will form a portfolio of orders for training, advanced training and internships of personnel under foundation programs at leading universities, research centers and other organizations abroad. They will recommend their candidates to participate in competitive selection to the Foundation.
In turn, the Board of Trustees of the Foundation will approve priority specialties for training, advanced training and internships of personnel, as well as make decisions on the redistribution of places allocated in the areas of competitive selection to ensure an appropriate level and quality of selection of candidates.
The Foundation also received the right to make decisions on the allocation of scholarships to citizens of Uzbekistan who are independently enrolled and study in the magistracy or doctorate of foreign educational institutions and research centers included in the world's top 500 or top 200 list.
Training of specialists abroad will be funded by the Foundation for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan.
