Liability for late receipt of a passport by persons under the age of 18 is canceled
The President of Uzbekistan signed a law, which canceled the liability for the late receipt of a passport by persons under the age of 18.
The law “On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at improving the mechanisms for ensuring public order” supplements article 223 of the Administrative Responsibility Code on “Violation of the passport system rules”.
“A person under the age of 18 is not subject to administrative liability for the late receipt of a passport,” the addendum to the article says.
In addition, the new law reduced the size of fines for living without a temporary or permanent residence permit down to 5 minimum monthly wages (previously - 10 MMW).
Committing the same offense again within a year after the application of an administrative penalty entails the imposition of a fine in the amount of 10 minimum monthly wages (previously - 15 MMW).
