16-storey monolithic buildings to be built in Samarkand
A project on the construction of high-rise buildings using German technology will be implemented in Samarkand, Kun.uz correspondent reports with reference to the khokim of the region Erkinjon Turdimov.
“We must effectively and dynamically solve such a pressing issue as housing shortages. To this end, new projects for the construction of apartment buildings will be implemented on the Motrit massif. The execution of the project for the construction of 16-storey monolithic buildings with a special seismic and wind resistance capabilities will also start soon. We plan to use German technologies,” Turdimov said.
He also added that one of the projects envisages the creation of a microdistrict of 50 apartment buildings. During the implementation of housing programs, he stressed, special attention will be paid to pricing issues and the formation of an integrated social infrastructure.
“A special program has been developed and is being implemented, according to which it is planned to increase the coverage of children by preschool educational institutions in 2019 from the current 29 percent to 52. Agreements have been reached on opening high-tech medical centers in the region together with partners from the Russian Federation, South Korea, and India,” Turdimov explained
It should be recalled that earlier, within the framework of his visit to Samarkand, the President instructed local authorities to create new high-rise buildings in the center of Samarkand.
“Samarkand should be a center of tourism. Therefore, we will increase the construction of multi-family housing. We will build houses in the city center that meet modern requirements. Before starting construction, it is necessary to determine in advance who will be the buyer of the apartment,” said the head of state then.
