Oil refinery blast kills one, injures two in northern Tajikistan
In Tajikistan, one person was killed and two others were injured on Jan. 22 as an oil refinery in the northern city of Guliston was hit by blast, Asia Plus reported with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Interior.
The incident reportedly took place at 11:40 am and the explosion was apparently caused by the failure to comply with safety.
As a result of the explosion, Firdavs Poulodov, 26, was killed and two other employees – Komiljon Olimjonocv, and Chinese national Zhe Su Sin– sustained various injuries and were hospitalized. The injured persons are reportedly in stable condition.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation. The Guliston prosecutor’s office is investigating the incident.
