158 people suspected in the sale of psychotropic drugs were detained in Tashkent in 3 months

In Tashkent, 158 suspects in the sale of psychotropic drugs “Tramadol” and “Baklosan” were detained in three months, Kun.uz correspondent reports.

It should be recalled that in Uzbekistan since October 22, 2018 criminal and administrative liability was imposed for the illegal sale of analogues of narcotic substances, for example, “Tramadol”. Thus, distributors of psychotropic pills are now under the same articles as drug traffickers.

Analogs are understood to be substances of synthetic or natural origin, similar in chemical structure and properties to narcotic drugs, the psychoactive effects of which they reproduce.

“From October 23, 2018 to January 23, 2019, 152 cases of illegal drug trafficking and their analogues were recorded, 158 people were detained. A total of 67,926 “Tramadol” tablets and 12,967 “Baklosan” tablets were seized from them,” the police department noted.

“Tramadol” has an equally active effect on the human psyche. Like any other drugs, it is addictive and, ultimately, destroys human health and psyche. “Tramadol” is comparable to morphine. With a single dose it can cause euphoria, with regular use it forms a feeling that is diagnosed as “opium addiction”.
