Medical universities of Dagestan and Andijan signed an agreement on issuing bilateral diplomas to graduates
On January 25, at the Rector's Office of the Dagestan State Medical University (DSMU), the ceremony of signing an additional agreement of the DSMU with the Andijan State Medical Institute took place. Within the framework of this agreement, universities will begin to issue double diplomas to their graduates, dagpravda.ru reports.
The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Dagestan Anatoly Karibov, Minister of Health of the Republic of Dagestan Jamaludin Gadjiibragimov, Minister of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan Tatyana Gamaley, Rector of the Dagestan State Medical University Suleiman Mamayev, Rector of the Andijan State Medical Institute Madamin Madazimov and others.
Speaking to the audience, rector of the Dagestan State Medical University reported that in October 2018, the main agreement was signed between the universities providing for their long-term cooperation. “Today can be called historic, as between Dagestan State Medical University and Andijan State Medical Institute an additional agreement will be signed on cooperation and issuance of double diplomas to graduates. We talked a lot about it and today it is going to happen. This contract gives an advantage to each party. Students enrolled in this system will have access to all resources of the universities. It is very prestigious to have two diplomas,” Suleiman Mamayev said.
In turn, Anatoly Karibov stressed that signing an agreement between universities takes place on “Tatiana's Day”, the Day of Russian Students. “There is a large diaspora of immigrants from Uzbekistan in Dagestan. And signing this treaty will serve as an additional impetus to strengthen our relations. And for young specialists in the field of medicine, obtaining a double diploma will open up new opportunities,” the first deputy chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan said.
After welcoming words, the long-awaited procedure for signing an additional agreement took place. Both university rectors signed the contracts and firmly shook hands.
