Uzbekistan spends over UZS 9.1 trillion on healthcare services in five months
The volume of healthcare services provided in Uzbekistan reached UZS 9.1 trillion in January–May 2026.
According to the National Statistics Committee, the figure represents a 14.7% increase compared with the same period last year.
Medical practice and dental services accounted for 16.8% of the total volume of healthcare services, while hospital services made up 20%. The remaining 63.2% consisted of other healthcare-related services.
Tashkent recorded the highest volume of healthcare services during the five-month period at UZS 4.2 trillion, followed by Tashkent region with UZS 862.1 billion and the Samarkand region with UZS 694.1 billion.
Fergana region ranked fourth with UZS 593 billion, ahead of Andijan region with UZS 428.9 billion and Namangan region with UZS 415 billion.
Healthcare service volumes in other regions were as follows: the Bukhara region – UZS 353.9 billion, Khorezm region – UZS 335.9 billion, Kashkadarya region – UZS 332.7 billion, Surkhandarya region – UZS 238.4 billion, Jizzakh region – UZS 221.3 billion, Syrdarya region – UZS 169.7 billion, the Republic of Karakalpakstan – UZS 158.6 billion, and Navoi region – UZS 157.9 billion.
