It is planned to excavate 50 holes for artesian wells on the dried lands of the Aral Sea until April 1, 2019, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
Recently, the first such well was drilled here for extracting groundwater. It is located on the territory of the former island “Barsakelmes” in the eastern part of the Aral. It is approximately 200 km to the northeast from Muinak.
Now, thanks to the artesian well created, it is possible to extract water at a speed of 10 liters per second at a depth of 300 meters.
In addition, it is planned to restore the wells created in the Soviet Union times.
This all will allow on a regular basis to organize extracting groundwater suitable for agricultural needs, create fertile pastures and livestock farms.
