Uzbekistan, Belarus plan to hold a forum of regions in June 2019
The Forum of the regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan is scheduled for June. The chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of Belarus on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sergei Rakhmanov told reporters today, BelTA reports.
“We are preparing in advance for the event to be held in June,” Sergei Rakhmanov informed. The forum will take place in Belarus.
“The list of participants will be carefully considered. We will take the roadmap of the interaction between Belarus and Uzbekistan as a basis,” he added.
The senator noted that certain projects from this cooperation plan will be supervised at the parliamentary level.
On February 14, a joint meeting of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic on Foreign Affairs and National Security and the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on International Affairs was held in Minsk.
Deputies and members of the Council of the Republic discussed the cooperation of the National Assembly with parliamentary organizations, the issues of enhancing activities of parliamentary working groups with colleagues from other countries.
