Uzbekistan, Qatar plan to hold Intergovernmental Commission meeting in Tashkent

On March 4, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is in Doha on a working visit, met with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their development. Issues related to international and regional policy were also considered.
The parties supported the results of the recent inter-ministerial contacts, which made it possible to focus on the priority areas of cooperation and helped consider draft bilateral agreements.
An exchange of views took place on holding the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Tashkent.
