Rosselkhoznadzor allows import of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan in hand luggage and baggage
Rosselkhoznadzor allowed the importation of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan with a total weight of not more than 5 kg in hand luggage, the press service of the department reports.
“According to the results of the joint work carried out by the Rosselkhoznadzor and the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate under the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure the phytosanitary security of Russia and Uzbekistan, from March 5, 2019, fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as dried fruits and nuts with a total weight of not more than 5 kg, are allowed into the hand luggage and baggage of passengers arriving from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation,” the report says.
The press service also reported that the import is allowed under the guarantees of the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
