Uzbekistan may participate in implementing national projects of Russia

The Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin invited Uzbekistan to participate in the implementation of Russian national projects.

He stated this at a meeting of heads of working bodies of the Uzbek-Russian intergovernmental commission with participation of representatives of departments, companies and business circles of two countries.

The minister noted that the Russian side is ready to share experience, best practices and programs, including active engagement of the Uzbek partners in this work.

As evidence, Oreshkin cited an example of productive negotiations between the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Veronika Skvortsova and her Uzbek counterpart, during which the parties agreed to implement a number of joint projects. In future, a joint “roadmap” in agriculture will be adopted.

In January-February, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the RF increased by 1,7% – up to $877,4 million, including Uzbek exports grew 1,7 times – up to $301,5 million, imports fell by 16% – up to $576 million.
