Uzbekistan ranks second in Marrakech Grand Prix 2019
Recently, the IJF Grand Prix competition on judo has ended in Marrakech, Morocco. The national team of Uzbekistan successfully participated in this tournament, which presents valuable points to access the Tokyo Olympics.
It is noteworthy that our compatriots managed to win two gold and 2 bronze medals during the tournament. This allowed the Uzbek national team to conclude the Grand Prix in the second place.
The first place was occupied by Germany. German judokas won 2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals. Also, French wrestlers participated efficiently to bag the third place. They earned two gold and one bronze medals.
At the Grand Prix of Morocco, the following athletes of our team won medals:
Sharofiddin Lutfullayev (-60 kg) and Sardor Nurullayev (-66 kg) – gold;
Khikmatillo Turayev (-73 kg) and Mukhammadkarim Khurramov (-100 kg) – bronze.
