The list of places where gold can be prospected publicized 

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, Regulation on the procedure for implementation of activities for extracting precious metals by prospecting is announced. 

Licenses are issued on the basis of online trading for a period of three years. The State Committee on Geology and Mineral Resources approves the list and within five days prepares information for the auction.

To participate in the auction, one must submit an application on the E-ijro Auksion website and pay a deposit of 5% of the estimated value of the land plot. 

The starting price of the site itself is set at 7.5 million soums, the price rises every 10 minutes. The State Committee on Geology, together with the license, also conducts registration of the right to use a land plot.

Before starting mining operations, it is necessary to notify the local authorities, the Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection, the Committee for Industrial Safety and the Inspectorate for the Control of Mining and Geological Activities.

The metals extracted by the prospecting method can be sold through specialized cash registers, as well as to businessmen who have a license for jewellery work.

The decree approves the list of places where gold can be prospected in 2019. In total there are 405 plots, most of which are in Navoi and Samarkand regions.

The list contains specific names of land plots, their area, exact coordinates of longitude and latitude, the nearest reference points.

Earlier, it was reported that there is enough gold in Uzbekistan for prospectors. For example, it is known about a territory with a total area of   590 hectares, where gold reserves in the depths exceed three tons.
