Heavy rain leaves Samarkand streets flooded
A number of streets in Samarkand were flooded on March 29 after a torrential rain, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
“On March 29 of this year, as a result of prolonged precipitation in Samarkand, in particular, on the streets of Buyuk Ipak yuli, Afrosiyob, M.Kashgariy, Mir Said, Obi Rakhmat, Mukimiy, Uzbekiston, A.Temur, Konimekh, Mulion-Sochaki, water flooded, affecting the traffic movement” the report reads.
Rescuers from the emergency situations department of the Samarkand region together with other responsible bodies, carried out works to eliminate the consequences of a natural phenomenon.
