Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, is hosting the new edition of the Great Silk Way Tournament.
Altogether 117 boxers, from such powerful countries as host Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Turkey, Morocco and Turkmenistan, are attending it.
On Friday, March 29, four of our compatriots, Jasurbek Latipov, Nodirjon Mirzaahmedov, Khurshid Abdullayev and Obidjon Tokhirov, after winning several bouts, ensured a place in the semifinals.
Other six boxers representing Uzbekistan - Foziljon Abdurahimov, Hasanboy Dusmatov, Shukurjon Rakhimov, Ikboljon Kholdorov, Madiyar Saydrahimov and Sardor Yormuhammedov, will have quarterfinal bouts today in the tournament.
