Uzbekistan boxing team secures first place at Strandja tournament with 17 medals
The prestigious Strandja international boxing tournament, held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from February 22 to March 1, concluded with a dominant performance by the Uzbekistan national team. Both the men’s and women’s squads showcased exceptional skill, securing Uzbekistan the top spot in the overall team standings.
The Uzbek men’s team finished the tournament at the top of the leaderboard, bringing home a total of 9 medals, including 3 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze. Meanwhile, the women’s national team achieved even higher results, claiming 8 medals consisting of 4 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze.

Uzbekistan secured first place in the medal tally with a combined total of 17 medals. Kazakhstan followed in second place with 9 medals, while Ukrainian boxers rounded out the top three.
