State visit of the South Korean President to Uzbekistan begins (video)
The visit of South Korean President Moon Jae-in to Uzbekistan started with an official welcoming ceremony at the Kuksaroy residence.
In the palace, the anthems of the two countries sounded, after which the presidents of Uzbekistan and South Korea greeted the representatives of delegations and diplomats.
On April 18, at the invitation of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in arrived in Tashkent on a state visit.
The program of the visit includes a speech by the President of South Korea in Oliy Majlis, participation of heads of state in the business forum of leading companies of the two countries and the opening ceremony of the House of Korean Culture and Art in Tashkent. A visit to Samarkand will also take place.
Following the visit, it is planned to adopt a Joint Declaration, sign a weighty package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, trade contracts and agreements for the implementation of investment projects. It is also envisaged to adopt a declaration on a special strategic partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
