BP explores promising oil and gas fields on the Ustyurt plateau
BP is interested in the oil and gas sector projects of Uzbekistan. This was reported during the analytical program “Takhlilnoma” of the TV channel “Uzbekistan 24” with reference to the Chief Operating Officer of the company Gordon Birrell.
It is reported that BP, together with Uzbekneftegaz, is exploring promising hydrocarbon deposits on the Ustyurt plateau. Preliminary data show signs of commercially attractive reserves in one of the fields.
The company is also interested in exploring other fields in Uzbekistan to determine the possibility of organizing gas production in industrial volumes.
BP intends to participate in projects for deep processing of hydrocarbons, and also plans to take part in the work of the conference and exhibition “Oil and Gas Uzbekistan 2019” to discuss the above projects.
Earlier, it was reported that BP plans to open Castrol oil production in Uzbekistan.
