Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit China

On April 24-27, the President of Uzbekistan, at the invitation of the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, will visit the country on a working visit to attend the events of the second International Forum “One Belt, One Road”.

According to the presidential press service, the forum is expected to be attended by more than 40 heads of state and government of foreign countries, international and regional organizations. The agenda includes issues of further deepening economic cooperation, enhancing collaboration in finding new sources of long-term growth, promoting a green economy and innovation, as well as implementing priority infrastructure projects in the region.

Mirziyoyev will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu. It is planned to discuss topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as regional and international matters.

In addition, the President of Uzbekistan will hold a series of bilateral talks with the heads of delegations of foreign countries and international organizations participating in the forum.
