Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan discuss demarcation of the State border
From 22 to 26 April 2019, a regular meeting of the government delegations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was held in Gulistan, the press service of the MFA reported.
During the event, the parties continued to work on drafting the final documents on the demarcation of the Uzbek-Kazakh State border.
Within the framework of Kazakhstani delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan, joint field surveys were conducted at the sites of the interstate border.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the demarcation line at certain sections of the State Border connecting Tashkent and Jizzakh regions of Uzbekistan with Turkestan region of Kazakhstan.
Following the talks, the heads of delegations - Tulkin Abdullayev, First Deputy Head of State Committee on Land Cadastre of Uzbekistan and Vyacheslav Gizzatov, Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador for Special Assignments, signed the relevant Protocol.
The next meeting of the commission will be held in Kazakhstan.
